VoIP Engineer

Location: US-VA-Northern

Position requires a CURRENT TS/SCI with full scope poly security clearance.

 

Job Description: Duties are performed under the supervision of a senior engineer or technical project manager. Responsibilities of a WAN Engineer are as follows:

 

-          Assist in the design and implementation of WANs using hub and router technology.

 

-          Perform hardware/software analysis to provide comparative data of performance characteristics and suitability within the existing systems environment.

 

-          Prepare trade-off studies and evaluations for vendor equipment. Assist in generating network monitoring and performance reports for WAN utilization studies.

 

-          Recommend network design changes/enhancements for improved system availability and performance.

 

-          Knowledge includes demonstrated capability in at least one primary network element, such as operating systems, platforms or protocols.

 

Special Requirements:  VoIP and MPLS experience required.
